NY TIMES review of my highline show last night

i was thrilled to play @ the Highline Ballroom in NYC last night. great to have so many friends turn out for one of the more memorable shows of recent days, what with the great Hamburg Steinway Concert Grand kindly lent to the Piano Series there by the NY Steinway shop, as well as the beautifully intuitive work in light and sound reinforcement by the Highline crew. I had such a great time.
Here's the review.
I had a WAV recorder running off the board. I'm thinking about sending some stuff up for download in the very near future.

nice piece in this week's Cleveland Scene magazine

really enjoyed conversing again with D. X. Ferris of Cleveland Scene. he kindly said he was more excited by our talk than he was that day attending the announcement/welcoming of Shaq to the Cavs! only misquote: Heart-Shaped Box is in Ab Major, not Bb, as he mentioned in the piece (Ab's got more black keys!) thanks again, D.X.! Stravinsky CD

Here, for your enjoyment, the complete Nonesuch CD comprised of my own arrangement of four movements from Stravinsky's l'Histoire du Soldat (complete with prepared piano in the 'Tango, Waltz & Ragtime'); the perennial favourite, Trois mouvements du Petrouchka, and the complete ballet, Apollon musagete, in a piano arrangement based on my own revisions of the Lourie or Stravinsky-penned piano reduction; My absolute most beloved Stravinsky piece of all time.

For some odd reason, Nonesuch decided this was worth deleting from their capacious catalog. It's a great record, and any friend/fan of mine should hear it.

The sessions took place in January of 1993 in Friedrich Ebert Halle in Hamburg. The engineer was Kees de Visser. The production credit was given to Philip Waldway, a pseudonym for the then Philips-contracted producer, Willem Hellweg, an extraordinary musician.
